Description
Our surgical technology program is designed to prepare full-day, adult students with the basic skills necessary to become an integral member of the surgical team. You will learn how to prepare the operating room including instruments and surgical supplies, instrumentation during surgical procedures and application of aseptic technique and sterilization procedures. This is an associate degree program that requires general education requirements in addition to coursework at Washburn Tech. Students also benefit from hands-on training they receive in clinicals. Upon completion, you will earn an associate of applied science degree. You also will be prepared to take the National Board of Surgical Technology exam and enter your career field!
