Description
Our practical nursing program is designed for adult students. Instruction includes the knowledge, skills, attitudes and abilities needed to practice safely and effectively as an entry-level practical nurse. This program is approved by the Kansas State Board of Nursing. Attending full day, you can complete the program in two semesters, while half-day evening students can finish in three semesters and a summer. Upon completion, you will earn a 47-credit-hour technical certificate and be eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Licensed Practical Nurses. Many options exist for career advancement in practical nursing including registered nursing at Washburn and other healthcare fields.
