Description
This course is designed for those wanting to earn a nurse aide certification from the State of Kansas. Based on the state’s curriculum, Washburn Tech students receive 45 hours of classroom instruction, 20 hours of lab work and 25 hours of hands-on clinical experience. High school juniors and seniors as well as adults are eligible for this course, which is a prerequisite for the certified medication aide and home health aide courses and the practical nursing program. Upon completion, you will be prepared to take the Nurse Aide Certification exam from the Kansas Department of Aging and Disability Services. Please note: this short-term course is not eligible for financial aid or commencement.
