Description
The first two semesters of this half-day program provide a hands-on introduction to the inner workings of computers. Instruction covers computer hardware, Microsoft and Linux network operating systems, directory services, cyber security, Web service, LAN/WAN technologies and messaging services. The final two semesters provide the opportunity to set-up and maintain networking devices such as routers, switches and WAN connections to share data and resources on the network. Upon successful completion, you will earn a 48-credit-hour technical certificate and be eligible to complete an associate degree or more advanced degrees at Washburn University. Evening classes are also available.
