Description

Butler Community College's Career & Workforce Education Dept. is excited to introduce a groundbreaking dog grooming course powered by Groom Curriculum, designed to set students on a path to success in the rapidly growing pet care industry. This training aligns with the American Kennel Club's (AKC) new Professional Groomer Credential (PGC), a credential that verifies not only a student's technical skill but also their real-world grooming experience through rigorous testing by the AKC. In addition, Groom Curriculum helps students build a professional grooming portfolio, further demonstrating their abilities and giving them a competitive edge in the job market.

In addition to hands-on grooming skills, Butler Community College's Career & Workforce Education course trains students in essential client-facing and communication skills, equipping them to thrive in real-world grooming environments where customer service is key. Students will also master the eight most common grooms seen in salons, ensuring they are prepared to deliver professional results from day one.
