Job Description
Please note: This position is ONLY available to current Kansas State University Students.
Responsible for supporting Union operations by maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming spaces, assisting with event setups and facility needs, and providing friendly customer service to students, staff, faculty, and visitors.
Set up, arrange, and take down tables, chairs, and other equipment for events and daily Union operations.
- Clean and maintain event spaces, common areas, restrooms, and other assigned areas.
- Monitor assigned areas throughout the shift and address cleanliness or setup needs.
- Collect and dispose of trash and maintain clean, organized custodial areas.
- Safely use cleaning equipment and chemicals according to established procedures.
- Report maintenance, repair, safety, or facility concerns to the appropriate staff.
- Assist with moving furniture and equipment as needed.
- Greet and assist students, faculty, staff, and visitors by providing information, directions, and general customer service.
- Communicate effectively with team members and coordinate tasks with other Union departments.
- Perform other operational, custodial, and customer service duties as assigned.
