Munition/Demolition Operator
Duties and responsibilities:

• Duties include all areas of the munitions disposal and surveillance operations. Advises the supervisor immediately of any problems.
•  
• Clear out buildings and remove or clean equipment as required.
•  
• Work with brush, trash and debris from buildings and surrounding areas.
•  
• Use dishwashers to clean off residual explosive materials.
•  
• Responsible for general condition and utilization of warehouses and stock.
•  
• Determines arrangement of storage to conserve space, reduce handling, insure accessibility and comply with safety regulations.
•  
• Maintains master log on all hazardous waste material and makes reports and distribution.
•  
• Loads and unloads hazardous waste material and stores in igloos or warehouses according to drawing specifications.
•  
• Takes physical inventories of materials being destroyed.
•  
• Checks material received for quantity and lot number.
•  
• Performs assigned duties in the preparation of explosives demolition charges.
•  
• Moves processed ammunition.
•  
• Work may be near open powder and airborne particles such as pollen, ragweed, and other naturally occurring materials.
•  
• Other duties as assigned.
•  
• Coordinate and direct work activities
