Job Description
The seasonal agricultural worker will prepare fields for planting; attach and operate tractors, planters, sprayers, seed drills, combines, irrigation equipment, and other farm machinery; perform planting, cultivating, spraying, fertilizing, and harvesting activities; load, unload, and transport crops, feed, supplies, and agricultural materials using trucks, augers, conveyors, forklifts, and other equipment; drive farm semi-trucks to haul crops and supplies; operate and adjust agricultural equipment; install, maintain, and perform routine repairs on irrigation systems, machinery, equipment, fences, pens, and buildings; record agricultural data; feed and water livestock; monitor animal health and administer medications and vaccinations as directed; assist with breeding, artificial insemination, and births; groom and otherwise care for livestock; herd, sort, identify, and move livestock between pastures, facilities, scales, and trucks; clean livestock facilities and equipment; and maintain livestock production, feeding, operational, and inventory records.
Family housing not available. Housing will be clean & meet applicable Fed, State &local housing standards. Workers must maintain neat & clean housing. Housing/utilities are provided at no cost to workers who are unable to return to place of residence the same day. If both male & female workers are hired: separate toilet, bathing and sleeping rooms will be provided
The employer will furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities and space for food preparation, as well as the necessary equipment, appliances (including refrigeration),cooking accessories, and dish washing facilities (e.g., adequate sinks with hot and cold water under pressure) that are in working condition and will be used by workers to sufficiently prepare three (3) meals a day. Employer will offer free transportation to town for personal services (i.e. banking, groceries) at least once per week for non range workers.Chevrolet Silverado 2500 with a capacity of 5; 2022-Chevrolet Silverado 2500 with a capacity of 5. Transportation will be provided at no cost to workers, from employer-provided housing and, if applicable, centralized pick-up points to the places of employment at the beginning of each workday and back at the end of each work day.
