Position Summary & Responsibilities:
Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Operations:
- Use ArcGIS Pro, ArcMap, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS Enterprise in day-to-day GIS operations and tasks.
- Use ArcGIS Online tools, including, but not limited to, Survey 123, Experience Builder, Dashboards, Story Maps, Quick Capture, Web Maps, and WebApp Developer Enterprise in day-to-day GIS operations and tasks.
- Use common office computer software such as Microsoft Office and Office 365 in day-to-day operations and tasks.
- Create, publish, and maintain ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Enterprise applications and resources.
- Assist the GIS Coordinator in coordination and management of the agency’s GIS program.
- Serve as primary and sole backup of the GIS Coordinator.
- Assist in planning, developing, and coordinating projects/applications and establishing timelines.
- Develop GIS and digital data products in the areas of mapping, analysis, and remote sensing.
- Produce accurate, up-to-date paper maps, online maps and online dashboards and applications for use by emergency management, county emergency managers, and state agencies.
- Develop mapping projects on demand from entities within the agency, emergency management, its partners and the 105 counties at the direction of the direct supervisor.
- Demonstrate high-level knowledge and skills in state-of-the-art GIS methods, practices. techniques and
