About the Position
We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centered care while working collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Plans and manages patient care according to each patient’s needs.
- Interviews patients and records their medical history and physical condition.
- Obtains patient vital signs, including pulse, blood pressure, temperature, height, weight, allergies, and current meds and respiration.
- Provides routine care for patients.
- Observes patients’ health.
- Reviews medical charts.
- Communicate with patients and their families.
- Performs standard diagnostic procedures including EKG, phlebotomy, venipuncture, PFT, and Doppler
- Prepares specimens for lab.
- Administers medications.
- Evaluates and documents intervention and patient response to treatment.
- Administers enemas douches, perineal care, Foley Cath care, colostomy care, and suppositories.
- Follows and adheres to isolation techniques and universal exposure control procedures for infection control.
- Assist patients with mobility, transferring to and from wheelchairs, stretcher, commode, or ambulatory status with or without crutch or walker assistance.
- Assist physicians in emergency care.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure through the Kansas State Board of Nursing or a multistate compact licensure is required.
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing Program.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) with Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certification approved by the American Heart Association upon hire or within the first 60 days of employment and must maintain a valid BLS certification throughout your employment.
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification approved by the American Heart Association upon hire or within the first year of employment and must maintain a valid ACLS certification throughout your employment.
- Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification approved by the American Heart Association upon hire or within the first year of employment and must maintain a valid PALS certification throughout your employment.
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in a hospital setting preferred.
