Job Title: Order Entry RepresentativeJob Description
The order entry representative provides comprehensive customer support to online shoppers before, during, and after their purchase. In this role, you respond to customer inquiries, process and track orders, resolve issues, and help ensure a smooth and positive online shopping experience for every customer.
Responsibilities
+ Respond to customer inquiries via email, phone, chat, and other online communication channels in a timely and professional manner.
+ Assist customers with product information, order placement, payments, shipping, returns, and exchanges.
+ Track orders and provide accurate updates on shipping status and delivery timelines.
+ Resolve customer complaints and concerns courteously and efficiently, following established procedures.
+ Process refunds, returns, replacements, and other service requests in accordance with company policies.
+ Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer and order information in company systems and order-management tools.
+ Collaborate with warehouse, shipping, sales, and other internal departments to resolve customer issues and ensure order accuracy.
+ Follow company procedures and service standards to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
+ Identify recurring customer issues or trends and communicate them to leadership when appropriate.
+ Support a positive, team-oriented environment by assisting coworkers and sharing knowledge as needed.

+ Comfort using computers, email, chat platforms, and online order-management systems.
+ Basic knowledge of e-commerce websites and online purchasing processes.

+ Ability to remain patient, professional, and courteous when handling difficult or escalated situations.
+ Effective time-management and organizational skills.
+ Ability to learn new software, products, and company procedures quickly.
+ At least 1 year of office or customer support experience.
+ High school diploma or equivalent.
+ Strong technical and computer knowledge, including comfort using online chat tools.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Previous experience in customer service, retail, call center, or e-commerce environments.
+ Experience with customer service, data entry, order entry, and order processing.
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general office software.
+ Friendly and positive attitude with a focus on creating a great customer experience.
+ Dependable work habits and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
+ Team-oriented mindset and willingness to assist coworkers and share best practices.
+ Comfort working in a fast-paced online business environment.
Work Environment
This is a fully on-site role based in Lenexa, working in a casual office environment. You will use computers, online chat tools, email, and order-management systems as part of your daily responsibilities. The position offers the opportunity to join a small but growing company and get your foot in the door through a contract-to-hire arrangement, supporting a newly won e-commerce project for a major grocery retailer. You will receive training and ongoing support, and work closely with office and operations teams in a collaborative setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lenexa, KS.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 – $21.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
