Job Title: Assembly Technician
Job Description
The Manufacturing Technician will be responsible for assembling build-to-order large electrical cabinets inclusive of products, relays, knife switches, voltage monitors, ethernet switches, power distribution units, surge suppressors, etc. to be used by electric utilities. We expect our Manufacturing Technicians to be self-starters capable of delivering quality products within a goal-oriented and rewarding environment. Our ideal candidate will be a self-starter with drive and responsibility to work independently. We also value candidates that continuously pursue learning and are passionate about technology.
Responsibilities
+ Read and understand schematic drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, and work orders to determine material requirements and assembly instructions.
+ Use power tools, hand tools, and soldering equipment to assemble cabinets.
+ Conceptualize end-product and measure precisely to quality specifications.
+ Manufacture wires and cables, cut to length, tie for neatness, install identification tags, route in tubing or wire tray, install covers and connectors, and correctly terminate.
+ Participate in the preparation of material for shipping, including building wooden crates, packing material and equipment, installing tie downs for securing the load, and placing on skids.

+ 6+ months of relevant experience
+ Electrical aptitude including wiring, wire stripping, and reading electrical prints
+ HVAC electrical knowledge
+ Ability to stand for an 8-hour shift
+ Ability to lift 40+ pounds regularly
+ Effective cable tie and cable management

Work Environment
Work in a climate-controlled and organized manufacturing facility. This is the largest department within the facility. The role requires both standing and moving around, with the ability to be seated for portions of the job. Shift hours are 7:00 am – 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lenexa, KS.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 – $24.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
