Are you passionate about transforming data into actionable insights that drive better business decisions? Koch Ag & Energy Solutions (KAES) is seeking a Data Analyst Intern to join our team in Wichita, KS. In this role, you will work alongside business and technology professionals to analyze data, develop reporting solutions, and identify opportunities that create value across our organization.
This internship offers hands-on experience working with real business challenges, modern analytics tools, and large datasets while developing the technical and communication skills needed to succeed in a data-driven environment. You will have the opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects that support decision-making across commercial, operations, supply chain, and business functions.

Our Team

The KAES Data & Analytics team partners with business leaders and stakeholders to turn information into insights that improve performance and support strategic decision-making. We leverage analytics, reporting, automation, and emerging technologies to help create value and drive business outcomes.

What You Will Do

Analyze structured and unstructured data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for business improvement
Develop reports, dashboards, and visualizations that help stakeholders make informed decisions
Partner with business users to understand requirements and translate business questions into analytical solutions
Clean, transform, and validate data to ensure quality and reliability of reporting outputs
Utilize SQL, analytics tools, and visualization platforms to support ongoing business initiatives
Present findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Explore and evaluate opportunities to leverage artificial intelligence, automation, and advanced analytics to create value, improve business processes, and enhance decision-making.
Support AI and analytics experimentation efforts by evaluating new tools, testing use cases, and identifying opportunities to improve business processes and decision-making through data-driven solutions
Collaborate with team members on projects that create long-term value for KAES

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Data Science, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related technical field
Experience using SQL through coursework, projects, internships, research, or work experience
Experience using generative AI tools, large language models (LLMs), or AI-enabled analytics solutions for coursework, projects, or personal learning.
Eligible for full-time employment by June 2028
Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship

What Will Put You Ahead

Previous internship, research, or project experience involving large datasets and business problem-solving
Experience using data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms
Experience using Python, R, or another data analysis programming language
Exposure to statistical analysis, predictive modeling, or machine learning concepts
Experience working with cloud-based analytics platforms or data warehouses
