Job Description
We are looking for a PRN Courier to run deliveries to and from the Great Bend Clinic, Russell Clinic and other locations. Courier will also get lab draws to deliver to the Clara Barton Laboratory at the Hoisington facility.
PURPOSE:
The Courier is responsible for taking lab specimens, mail, money deposits, etc. from outreach clinics to Hoisington Clinic. Responsible for coordination of route changes due to add on stops.
Primary Function:
- Pick up and transport specimens, packages, and other deliverables
Secondary Functions:
- Coordinate with hospital departments to complete pickups and drop offs
- Provide friendly customer service
- Ensure package safety and observe transportation requirements, such as with frozen or perishable deliveries
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations
- Collect deposits and bring to billing
- Report maintenance that needs to be done to clinic administrator
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Position requires manual dexterity for operating standard office equipment. Ability to lift 20 lbs.
MENTAL/VISUAL:
- Position requires the ability to maintain concentration and attention to detail. Must be task oriented with strong verbal and written communication skills.
ENVIRONMENTAL:
- Position functions within a normal building environment, requiring ability to adapt to periodic environmental changes, e.g. temperature, air quantity, and noise.
EQUIPMENT UTILIZED:
- Daily use of Hospital Vehicle. If personal vehicle has to be used at any time you will be reimbursed mileage.
