Job Description
The Conduit Operator role is responsible for the setup and operation of conduit machines.
Essential Functions: (essential functions, including how an individual is to perform them and frequency at which tasks are performed; the tasks must be part of the job function and truly necessary or required to perform the job)
- Proficient in SPC and blueprint reading
- Set up and operates conduit machines
- Performs inspection of product
- Drives fork lift to move materials
- Weighs count product
- Delivers orders to cells
- Maintains department equipment
- Some independent problem solving required when employee encounters problems with accepting products and raw materials and speeds at which to produce products
- Some limited independent decision making involved when employee makes decisions about accepting or rejecting raw materials and finished products and prioritizing daily duties
- Performs duties in the safest and most efficient manner possible
- Responsible for the safe operation of company equipment
- Works respectfully with other team members
- Performs other duties as deemed necessary or assigned
Korn Ferry Competencies:
- Proficient in SPC and blueprint reading
- Able to operate department equipment
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry our instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
Required education and experience: (education and experience based on requirements that are job-related and consistent with business necessity)
- High school diploma or GED or the equivalent combination of education and experience
- A minimum of six months experience in a similar or related position
- Must be at least 18 years of age
Preferred education and experience: (preferred education and experience based on requirements that are job related and consistent with business necessity)
- Technical School training

- Working near mechanical parts and vibrations can be expected frequently

- Manual labor job in a manufacturing environment
- Temperature fluctuations on production floor
- Must be able to list/carry heavy objects up to 50 pounds
- Standing for long periods of time; walking
- Hand dexterity
- Ability to operate departmental equipment
