Job Description
Duties may include: Reassemble machines and equipment following repair, testing operation and making adjustments, as necessary. Maintain, repair, and overhaul farm machinery and vehicles, such as tractors, harvesters, and irrigation systems. Examine and listen to equipment, read inspection reports, locate and diagnose malfunctions. Record details of repairs made and parts used. Dismantle defective machines for repair, using hand tools. Clean and lubricate parts. Repair or replace defective parts, using hand tools, milling and woodworking machines, lathes, welding equipment, grinders, or saws. Test and replace electrical components and wiring, using test meters, soldering equipment, and hand tools. Tune or overhaul engines. Drive trucks to haul tools and equipment for on-site repair of large machinery. Fabricate new metal parts, using drill presses, engine lathes, and other machine tools. Repair bent or torn sheet metal. Calculate bills according to record of repairs made, labor time, and parts used. Install and repair agricultural irrigation, plumbing, and sprinkler systems & other related Farm Equipment Mechanic activities as per SOC/OES 49-3041 (onetonline.org).
3 meals per day will be provided to those workers who do not have access to free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities (all workers who are residing in public accommodations). Workers who are provided 3 meals a day will be charged $16.28 per day for those meals on the days that they choose to utilize the meal service. All meals will include a daily source of protein, vitamins, and minerals.
The modes of transportation to be used for workers who opt in to use employer-provided transportation will be a GMC Yukon, and a Chevy Silverado. All vehicles provided will have occupancy for at least one (1) people.
