Job Description
This role offers the opportunity to work as a skilled fabricator in a growing production environment, contributing to projects from early build stages through final assembly. You will assemble components according to detailed drawings and specifications, inspect and correct defects, and support multiple phases of the build process. The position suits a motivated, detail-oriented professional who takes pride in quality workmanship and maintaining a safe, organized workspace.
Responsibilities
Fabrication & Assembly: Assemble and fit components accurately from blueprints and technical drawings, taking projects from early build stages through final assembly with minimal supervision.
Tools & Equipment: Safely use fabrication tools (grinders, band saws, drills, torches, plasma cutters, welding equipment, etc.) and maintain them in good working condition.
Quality & Problem Solving: Measure, inspect, and verify dimensions and quality of work, identify defects, troubleshoot fit or alignment issues, and ensure all specifications are met.
Safety & Teamwork: Maintain a clean and safe workspace, follow all safety guidelines, handle materials and finished units, and communicate clearly in English with the team.

Work Environment
This position is based in a fabrication shop environment where you will work with a range of tools and equipment, including grinders, band saws, drills, drill presses, torches, plasma cutters, magnetic drills, and other fabrication machinery. The role requires standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 lbs as part of daily tasks. You will work around active fabrication processes, including cutting, grinding, and welding, and you are expected to follow all safety procedures to maintain a safe and orderly workspace. The environment emphasizes cleanliness and organization, with an expectation that work areas are cleaned and reset between assignments. Dress will be typical for a fabrication shop, including appropriate workwear and personal protective equipment suitable for welding, cutting, and handling materials.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grandview, MO.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 – $24.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
