Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dependable On-Call Cook to prepare high-quality meals in a safe and efficient kitchen environment. While this is an on-call position, employees can expect to work up to 40 hours per week based on operational needs. Candidates with open availability are highly preferred.

Responsibilities

+ Prepare, cook, and present meals according to recipes and menu specifications.

+ Ensure food quality, consistency, and portion control standards are maintained.

+ Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.

+ Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment.

+ Monitor food inventory and notify management of supply needs.

+ Follow proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures.

+ Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating food products.

+ Support kitchen team members during peak service periods.

Essential Skills

+ Previous cooking or kitchen experience.

+ Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.

+ Ability to follow recipes and prepare meals in a timely manner.

+ Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

+ Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Work Environment

This position offers up to 40 hours per week on an on-call basis. Open availability is strongly preferred, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Maryville, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 – $23.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
