Job Title: Job-site Superintendent - Civil Division
Job Summary: This position is responsible for managing field operations for self-performed, large-scale civil construction projects, including heavy highway, bridge, underground utility, earthwork, and other infrastructure projects.
Job Responsibilities:

Work alongside the Project Manager to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Manage and assist with self-performed and subcontracted scopes of work.

Coordinate and supervise field crews, subcontractors, equipment, and daily construction activities.

Maintain an organized, productive, and safe working environment.

Provide status reports regarding production, anticipated challenges, labor needs, and project progress.

Conduct scheduled subcontractor meetings, safety briefings, and daily coordination meetings.

Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations across all phases of the project.

Monitor project quality to ensure work complies with plans, specifications, and company standards.

Resolve project-related issues promptly to minimize impacts to project schedules and budgets.

Coordinate inspections with owners, engineers, and regulatory agencies as required.

Other miscellaneous duties as directed by the Civil General Superintendent.
Required Qualifications:
-
5+ years of experience managing large-scale civil construction projects as a general contractor.

Proven experience supervising self-perform crews, skilled trades, and subcontractors.

Strong working knowledge of civil construction means and methods, including earthwork, underground utilities, concrete, grading, paving, bridge, or heavy highway construction.

Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and project schedules while providing clear direction to field personnel.

Must have knowledge of and strict adherence to OSHA Construction Standards.

Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, inspectors, subcontractors, owners, and public agencies.

Strong leadership, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Must stay current on emerging industry trends, equipment, and construction technologies while pursuing continuous education.

Must operate in a character consistent with company values (Skill, Integrity, and Responsibility) in the best interest of our clients.

Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Ability to work flexible hours.
Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Construction Science, or a related field is preferred but not required.

Experience with GPS machine control, total stations, or other construction layout technology.
-
OSHA 30 certification.
