Job Description
We are seeking a caring and motivated Occupational Therapist who wants to make a meaningful impact in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation setting. In this role, you’ll help residents regain independence, improve daily functioning, and rediscover quality of life — all while working with a collaborative, supportive team that truly values your expertise.
What You’ll Do as Our Occupational Therapist- Evaluate and treat residents with cognitive and/or ADL physical functioning disorders
- Develop, implement, and update individualized plans of care using evidencebased practice
- Provide skilled, medically necessary OT interventions to promote recovery and functional independence
- Administer rehabilitation techniques including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, exercises, modalities, and assistive devices
- Monitor resident progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Evaluate treatment outcomes and recommend modifications or referrals
- Educate residents, families, caregivers, and staff regarding treatment goals and progress
- Communicate effectively with the Director of Rehabilitation Services and interdisciplinary team
- Complete timely, accurate documentation and record treatment minutes per regulatory requirements
- Prepare comprehensive discharge summaries
- Participate in care conferences, rehab meetings, trainings, and inservices
- Supervise and support OT assistants, rehab aides, and students as assigned
- Maintain compliance with NBCOT, AOTA, Kansas practice acts, ethical standards, and facility policies
This position reports directly to the Director of Rehabilitation Services.
