Description
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
+ Under supervision, provide behavioral health screening of detainees referred by facility staff or identified by prescreening through booking process or nursing services.
+ Under supervision, provide individual and/or group psychoeducation and skills-based interventions.
+ Assist custody and medical staff in the monitoring of behavioral health for referred detainees.
+ Coordinate with custody and medical staff in the management and treatment of detainees with behavioral health concerns.
+ Monitor and assess therapeutic support of segregated and isolated detainees.
+ Support and supplement the activities of county behavioral health services in the stabilization of at-risk detainees.
+ Coordinate with county behavioral health services for continuity of care and discharge planning/case management via sharing of pertinent patient information.
+ Complete documentation as well as maintain records for referral tracking and continuous quality improvement (CQI) under supervision.
+ Demonstrate commitment and dedication to providing behavioral health support and provide training to solve problems and make lives easier.
+ Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
+ Master’s Degree in a Behavioral/Social Science field (e.g., Psychology, Social Work, etc.) required.
+ Current licensure with clinical specialty from the appropriate state licensing board preferred.
+ CPR certification must be obtained prior to hire and maintained while in this role.
+ Hands-on or online certifications are accepted.
+ Must be able to practice independently.
+ Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to operate a motor vehicle.
