TITLE OF POSITION: CBS Parent Education Specialist
SUPERVISOR: CBS Parent Education Program Coordinator
WORK SCHEDULE: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, Education, or related field, or equivalently qualified by work experience or a combination of education and work experience
Communicate positively and effectively with others in a classroom setting
Dependable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and compliance with agency’s liability carrier’s requirements may be required depending on job assignment
Basic proficiency in math
Effective utilization of basic office technology GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Conduct parenting classes ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Conduct parenting classes regarding particular subjects to meet agency and communityneeds.
2. Maintain paperwork and documentation needed regarding attendance in classes for grant reporting.
3. Distribute schedules and handouts for classes.
4. Be prepared for classes by studying the materials, arriving at least 20 minutes early for room preparation and to greet the participants.
5. Replenish copies of hand outs, class rosters, evaluations and other materials used in the folders.
6. Return after class all class folders, rosters, evaluations in the proper location in a timely manner.
7. Maintain agency paperwork including timesheets and mileage logs or expenses.
8. Attend required meetings if possible.
9. Communicate regularly with the coordinator about any class needs or concerns, scheduling or need for company car.
10. Work schedule is turned in timely/consistently.
11. Maintain KIPS certification and complete KIPS and ASQ assessments per grant requirements.
12. Collaborate with parents and agencies to complete assessments in the home or agreed upon location. OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:
· Exhibit and promote decisions / behavior consistent with the Center’s established Vision, Mission, and Values.
· Any deviations to the work schedule and all overtime must be approved in advance.
· Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
