Job Description

Martin K. Eby Construction Co., Inc. is seeking an experienced Painter to join our team. This role is responsible for performing a variety of skilled painting and finishing tasks on commercial construction projects, including surface preparation, priming, painting, staining, and application of protective coatings. Responsibilities also include finishing drywall surfaces, touch-ups, and ensuring a high-quality appearance of building interiors and exteriors in accordance with project specifications.

Essential Functions:

• Perform painting of interior and exterior surfaces, including proper surface preparation and clean-up 
• Complete drywall finishing, including taping, mudding, sanding, and texture matching 
• Conduct laminate patching and repairs to ensure seamless finishes 
• Assist with metal framing as needed on job sites 
• Execute wood finishing, including staining, sealing, and touch-ups 
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition 
• Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines 

Requirements:

• Working knowledge of drywall finishing, painting techniques, and surface preparation 
• Experience with laminate repair and wood finishing preferred 
• Basic understanding of metal framing is a plus 
• Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship 
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English for client interactions; additional language skills are a plus.

Working Conditions:

• Standing and walking for extended periods
• Lifting items in excess of 40 pounds
• Working both indoors and outdoors in all weather and temperature conditions
• Exposure to varying noise levels requiring ear protection
• Working in confined spaces
• Frequently working at heights

Additional Requirements:
