The Office of the Kansas Attorney General’s Public Protection Division has a wide-ranging mission with one overriding priority: keeping Kansans safe. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Divisions Antitrust and Business Organizations Section. This section investigates possible violations of the Kansas Restraint of Trade Act and equivalent federal antitrust laws and takes action when violations are found. The section is involved in complex litigation involving specialized industries and nationwide impacts. The Attorney General has the power to enforce both state and federal law via court proceedings, and the Section’s attorneys pursue those avenues as appropriate.

QualificationsLicensing & Certification
- Certificate of admission and membership in good standing with the Bar of the Supreme Court of Kansas or eligible for admission on waiver
- A valid drivers license
Minimum Qualifications
- At least four (4) years post-J.D. experience
- Prior experience or demonstrated interest in the Public Protection Divisions mission/work
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with state or federal antitrust litigation, state or federal litigation including class action or MDL litigation experience, or antitrust compliance for corporate clients.
- Significant experience in complex litigation and managing large e-discovery productions.
Travel: You may need to travel to locations to competently and diligently discharge the assigned duties. Limited in-state travel may be required. A valid driver’s license is required when operating a state vehicle, a private vehicle, or a rental vehicle for the benefit of the state.

The pre-employment screening process will be waived for current OAG personnel who have previously completed the screening requirements.

Applicants (including non-residents) who receive a formal job offer for a State job, are required to obtain a valid Tax Clearance within ten (10) days of the job offer. A Tax Clearance can be obtained through the Kansas Department of Revenue who reviews individual accounts for compliance with Kansas Tax Law.
