Job Title: Mechanic Technician
Job Description:
The Mechanic Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on Bobcat equipment and other compact construction equipment. This position requires a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot hydraulic, diesel, electrical, and mechanical systems. The technician will work to ensure equipment is repaired safely, efficiently, and to manufacturer specifications while providing excellent customer service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and diesel engine problems.
- Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on Bobcat equipment, including skid steers, compact track loaders, excavators, and attachments.
- Conduct equipment inspections and identify necessary repairs.
- Complete work orders accurately and maintain service records.
- Test equipment after repairs to ensure proper operation.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Communicate effectively with the Service Manager regarding repair status and additional service needs.
- Follow all company and OSHA safety policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Experience repairing heavy equipment, diesel engines, agricultural equipment, or construction equipment preferred.
- Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, diesel, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a shop environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
