Job Description
To clean and maintain the appearance of school buses to ensure they are safe, presentable, and ready for daily operation. This role involves washing the exterior, cleaning the interior, and reporting any visible damage or maintenance issues.
- Wash/detail school buses, activity bus, district vehicles, and vans
- Maintain building and lot appearance by emptying all trash cans and pick up loose trash on the property.
- Maintain the outward appearance of school buses by waxing them in summer or as needed.
- Follow work assignments from Shop Foreman and Transportation Director and perform any special duties necessary for efficient operation of the transportation facility.
- Perform light vehicle maintenance.
- Repair torn/ripped seats as needed.
- Install car seats on buses as needed.
- Fuel buses and vans as needed.
- Handle cleaning chemicals, fuel, gasoline, lubricants and oils on a daily basis.
- Substitute as a Bus Monitor as needed.
- Performs such other duties as may be assigned.
