KLUGE OPERATOR
Job Summary
The primary job responsibility is the foil stamping and embossing of box wraps and blanks
Qualifications Strong work ethic
Ability to communicate well with others
Ability to follow both written and oral instructions
Ability to perform basic mathematic operations
Visual acuity to spot defects with the materials converted
Ability to read a ruler
Ability to lift the honeycomb into the press which weighs 40#
Ability to stand on ones feet for an entire 10 hour shift
Operator Responsibilities
- Arrive prior to start of shift to ensure you are ready to begin work when your shift begins.
- Perform PM as required of the machine.
- Foil/emboss jobs according to the production schedule
- Follow foil stamping job ticket for instructions
- Operator is responsible for watching the quality of the sheets and inspecting for the following defects:
- Fill in of foil
- Absence of foil copy
- Movement of the foil or embossed image
- Shark tooth or jagged edge of foil
- Hitting the image too hard on foil leaving too deep an image.
- Not embossing deep enough
- In the event a potential quality defect is discovered, the Operator is to notify the Plant Manager.
- Maintain a clean work area to include cleaning of machine and floor.
- Order foil and other supplies for the machines as required.
