Overview
Department: Food Service Employment Type : Per diem ( PD / PRN) Shift’s Available : Varied Hours: Variable Location : Providence Medical Center – Kansas City, KS We are seeking a Food Service Worker , sometimes referred to as a Café Work er or Food Service Associate . The Food Service Worker will work in our hospital cafeteria, responsible for preparing, serving, and delivering meals, ensuring food safety and cleanliness, and adhering to dietary guidelines. They support patient nutrition, healthcare hospitality, serve staff and visitors, maintain kitchen equipment and inventory, and contribute to overall food service operations in our hospital. This position is on a per diem basis, meaning PD/ PRN as needed .Responsibilities
+ P repare and serve food to our patients, staff, and visitors
+ E nsure food safety by following hygiene and sanitation guidelines
+ O perate kitchen equipment like ovens, slicers, or dishwashers
+ S tock supplies and maintain inventory
+ C lean and sanitize work areas, utensils, and equipment
+ T ake and fulfill meal orders according to dietary guidelines for patients
+ H andle cash or operate a register for cafeteria transactions
Qualifications
+ Starting July 1, 2017, High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.

+ County Specific Food Handlers certification required upon hire and maintained current
