About This Role
Food Service Workers are part of a team who make good food and service happen in a large residence hall dining center by providing quality food and service to fun and appreciative students and guests. Work shifts may vary. This is a temporary position allowing up to 999 hours of work in a 12 month period.

Worksite Description
This position is On-site.
All employees must reside in the United States when they begin working to comply with state law. K-State is unable to provide remote or hybrid work opportunities for residents of the state of Idaho.
What You'll Need to Succeed
Preferred Qualifications:
- Some food production, baking, and/or service experience in an institutional or volume setting.
- Knowledge of large scale food production, service, equipment, food safety and sanitation procedures.
- Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
- Ability to accurately weigh and measure ingredients, to use and care for equipment and handle food safely while preparing high quality products.
- Food Safety Training-completed within 6 months of employment
Additional Role Information:
- Work regularly requires moderate physical exertion to transport heavy items (up to 50 lbs.) repetitively. Work is generally performed by standing for long periods of time. Must have sufficient physical stamina necessary to spend entire work shift (except breaks) standing or walking.
Sponsorship eligibility:
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship.
