Job Description

Maintain a clean, safe, debris-free environment on transfer decks, mezzanines, and automation zones, including conveyors, lifts, shuttles, palletizing cells, and scanners/sensors. This role ensures uptime and safety by removing debris, cleaning floors and equipment as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and collaborating closely with maintenance and operations teams to schedule cleaning during automation downtime.

Responsibilities

+ Maintain cleanliness and safety in designated areas including transfer decks and automation zones.

+ Remove debris and clean floors and equipment according to SOPs.

+ Collaborate with maintenance and operations to schedule cleaning during automation downtime.

+ Perform industrial cleaning tasks around and under machinery and automation equipment.

+ Follow Lock Out Tag Out Procedures to ensure safety.

+ Communicate clearly and report hazards promptly.

+ Utilize industrial cleaning tools such as scrubbers and vacuums.

+ Work safely during automation downtime.

Essential Skills

+ General labor and industrial cleaning experience.

+ Knowledge of Lock Out Tag Out Procedures.

+ Ability to follow sanitation SOPs and site standards.

+ Mechanical aptitude and ability to use industrial cleaning tools.

+ Clear communication skills and hazard reporting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with electric pallet jacks and hand tools.

+ Familiarity with Construction and Cleaning processes.

+ Comfort working in confined spaces and varying warehouse conditions.

Work Environment

Warehouse conditions vary by zone and may include cooler or warm areas. Frequent use of stairs and continuous walking on transfer decks and mezzanines is required.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ottawa, KS.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 – $24.00/hr.
