Department: Outpatient Rehabilitation- Physical Therapy Shifts Available:Day Shift Employment Type:Full- Time Hours:8-hour shift (7:30-6:00 Monday through Thursday and Fridays 7:30-3:00) Location:Providence Medical Center- Kansas City, KS We are seeking aPhysical Therapist Assistant (PTA)to join our outpatient rehabilitation team in a Full-time capacity. This role offers a patient-centered, 1:1 care model in an outpatient physical therapy clinic treating a diverse caseload including orthopedic (ortho), neurological (neuro), pelvic floor, vestibular (dizziness and balance), and aquatic therapy patients. Our growing outpatient program is supported by a strong physician referral network, providing consistent patient volume and the opportunity to build meaningful patient relationships while delivering high-quality rehabilitation services. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):+ Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
+ Implement individualized treatment plans to improve mobility, function, and outcomes
+ Deliver 1:1 outpatient therapy treatment focused on patient goals
+ Educate patients on therapeutic exercises, injury prevention, and recovery plans
+ Document treatments and patient progress in compliance with regulatory standards
+ Collaborate with Physical Therapists and interdisciplinary teams
Qualifications
Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:+ An Associate Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
+ Current state Physical Therapist Assistant license
+ Current BCLS (AHA) Certificate upon hire and maintain current
Additional Qualifications That Are a Plus:+ Healthcare experience preferred
