Recruiting Manager (Finance & Accounting)

As a Recruiting Manager in our Kansas City Finance & Accounting practice, you’ll serve in a dual role:

+ Trusted advisor to finance and accounting professionals

+ Strategic hiring partner to local business leaders

You’ll help companies solve critical hiring challenges while connecting top talent to career-defining opportunities. Success in this role comes from your ability to build relationships, understand business needs, identify exceptional talent, and create matches that deliver long-term impact for both clients and candidates.

What You’ll Do

Client-Facing Responsibilities

+ Develop and grow relationships with new and existing clients throughout the Kansas City market

+ Conduct virtual, phone, and in-person meetings with hiring managers and business leaders

+ Uncover hiring challenges and provide consultative talent solutions

+ Expand client utilization of Robert Half’s services through exceptional service and trusted partnerships

+ Present highly qualified finance and accounting professionals to clients

+ Negotiate offers and facilitate successful placements

+ Become a trusted advisor to organizations ranging from emerging companies to established market leaders

Candidate-Facing Responsibilities

+ Recruit, evaluate, and place finance and accounting professionals in permanent positions

+ Build and maintain a strong network of accounting and finance talent

+ Interview candidates to understand their technical capabilities, career goals, and motivations

+ Provide coaching, market insight, and career guidance throughout the hiring process

+ Prepare candidates for interviews and offer discussions

+ Maintain strong candidate relationships that lead to future referrals, placements, and long-term partnerships

Market Development & Community Engagement

+ Build your presence within the local finance and accounting community

+ Participate in professional associations, networking groups, and industry events

+ Stay informed on hiring trends, talent availability, and market conditions

Qualifications

+ Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred

+ CPA and/or MBA is a plus

+ 2+ years of experience in public accounting, corporate finance, accounting, financial analysis, or successful permanent placement recruiting

+ Proven track record of achieving results in a relationship-driven environment

+ Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills

+ Strong business acumen and ability to advise clients and candidates effectively

+ High sense of urgency, accountability, and follow-through

+ Ability to leverage finance and accounting knowledge to develop business opportunities and deliver talent solutions
