Job Description
The Lead Completions Coordinator will be responsible for planning, supporting, and implementing construction project completions and commissioning of various facilities, including commercial and industrial installations. This role involves tracking and testing for different facilities, ensuring that completions documentation and verifications align with project contractual requirements.
Responsibilities
+ Lead the review of contractual specifications for completion and commissioning requirements of projects.
+ Create, verify, and finalize turnover boundaries and turnover packages.
+ Set up tracking, reporting, and turnover documentation of projects, ensuring field teams understand and implement the tools according to specifications.
+ Review, plan, and communicate vendor requirements with personnel performing commissioning efforts on projects.
+ Develop and implement commissioning and startup plans.
+ Oversee field teams during execution of completion and commissioning plans.
+ Conduct accept/reject verifications of construction status and completion on equipment.
+ Inspect installed devices and complete field required setup and verifications.
+ Coordinate and oversee checkout, testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning phases of projects, addressing problems and routine requirements of equipment and devices.
+ Ensure proper documentation of activities is maintained and the defined process is being followed.
+ Lead Assistant and Staff level personnel in activities required by the Completions and Commissioning department.
+ Manage projects for Completions and Commissioning, including proposal support.
+ Understand various testing equipment operation processes and procedures, as well as logical controllers and field control systems (PLCs) as integrated in startup procedures.
+ Provide oversight and support for project work activities in mechanical areas such as piping, rotating equipment, stationary equipment, steel, welding, rigging, insulation, heat trace, paint, hydrostatic testing, fire protection, and coatings.
+ For electrical activities: oversee installation, conduit, cable pulls, relay testing, substation, and terminations.
+ Meet responsibilities required as a Mechanical or Electrical Superintendent.
+ Adhere to and promote company and site safety policies.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
+ Comply with all policies and standards.
Essential Skills
+ Expertise in construction, construction management, commissioning, electrical, and refinery industries.
+ High School Diploma/GED with 11 years of Completions and/or Commissioning experience or Associate Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering, Construction Management, or relevant field with 9 years of experience, or Bachelor Degree in the same fields with 7 years of experience.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
+ Proficient in Bluebeam and cloud-based tools.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Strong leadership and communication skills.
+ Ability to manage and lead multiple projects simultaneously.
+ Experience in mechanical and electrical project oversight.
+ Familiarity with PLCs and field control systems.

The role involves working in a dynamic environment that includes commercial and industrial facilities. The position requires adherence to safety policies and procedures. The candidate will work closely with field teams and must be proficient in using various technologies and tools to ensure successful project completion.

This is a Contract position based out of Kansas City, MO.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $68.00 – $72.00/hr.
