This is an in-person position, and is not open to remote or hybrid at this time.
Summary
The Project Estimator - Multi-Family will be responsible for assisting the Sales team with bid activities. This will include in-house bid preparation, proposal review, onboarding awarded projects, and project execution. This position is a part of the team which is responsible for providing technical product and bidding related information, as well as other support materials required throughout the sales process.
Principal Responsibilities
Bid Phase Activities:
- Prepare Bid Proposals including accurate review of plans and specifications, generating cabinet take-offs, pricing, and formal bid documents
- Ensure that all Bid Proposals are accurate and in compliance with Grandview Bid Parameters
- Ensure Bid Proposals are presented in a timely, effective and professional manner
- Track each project and provide regular status updates on where the project is in the Bid Phase through presentation of all bid proposal and Award
Award Phase Activities:
- Maintaining a Bid Log of awarded Projects
- Assist in Purchase Order approval and compliance check
- Generate submittal package and sample materials for approval
Onboarding & Execution Phase Activities:
- Set up Project Master Books
- Assist Project Managers in executing projects
Sales Support Activities:
- Provide technical product and bidding related information to internal and external parties
- Support effective communications to the Grandview Sales Team and customers
Essential Qualifications and Skills
- Computer savvy; requires proficiency in basic computer skills
- Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills
- Excellent analytical skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
- 1-3 years prior Multi-family sales, estimating and project management experience
- 1-3 years of prior kitchen cabinet industry experience
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
