A client of Insight Global is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Preconstruction Manager to join our growing team. This individual will play a critical role in the planning and development of commercial construction projects, working closely with project managers, operations teams, clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to develop accurate budgets and support successful project execution.

Prepare conceptual, schematic, design development, and final construction estimates for commercial projects.

Perform quantity takeoffs and analyze drawings, specifications, and bid documents.

Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor pricing.

Develop project budgets and cost models throughout the design process.

Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving alternatives.

Participate in constructability reviews and risk assessments.

Collaborate with project management and field operations teams during project turnover.

Build and maintain relationships with subcontractors, clients, architects, and consultants.

Assist with bid preparation, proposal development, and scope review.

Track market pricing trends and maintain estimating databases.

Skills and Requirements

Bachelors in construction management or engineering, etc.

2-5 years of experience in construction estimating, preconstruction, project engineering, or project management

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents

Experience developing budgets, performing takeoffs, and soliciting subcontractor pricing

Experience working on commercial construction projects Experience with a General Contractor

Experience using Procore, Bluebeam, or similar software.
