Shift: Days, C-Shift (7am to 7pm) Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Every other Wednesday

Job Summary:
The Maintenance Technician – Level 4 is a multi-craft role responsible for performing skilled maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of production equipment and mechanical systems with minimal supervision. This role supports reliable equipment performance through preventative maintenance, independent troubleshooting, and timely repairs. The technician works closely with Operations and Maintenance teams to minimize downtime, improve equipment performance, and support continuous improvement initiatives. This position builds on foundational technical skills by applying working knowledge across mechanical and electrical systems while providing guidance to Level 3 technicians in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Essential Duties:
Functional Operations:
+ Perform maintenance tasks with minimal supervision following established procedures, work instructions, and safety standards
+ Ensure operation of machinery by completing preventive maintenance on motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines
+ Monitor and verify equipment settings, gauge readings, HMIs, sensors, and system performance to maintain operational specifications
+ Troubleshoot equipment issues using diagrams, sketches, manuals, and technical specifications
+ Remove and replace defective components using proper tools and material handling equipment (e.g., hoists, cranes)
+ Adjust functional components and control instruments using precision tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, levels, straightedges)
+ Perform equipment disassembly, cleaning, repair, and reassembly according to OEM specifications
+ Operate and maintain tools and equipment in assigned areas
Performance Optimization & Continuous Improvement:
+ Troubleshoot and resolve routine mechanical and electrical equipment issues independently
+ Locate sources of equipment problems using observation, diagnostic tools, and precision instruments
+ Read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and hydraulic/pneumatic diagrams
+ Perform dimensional and tolerance checks using appropriate measuring instruments
+ Analyze equipment performance and identify improvement opportunities to reduce downtime
+ Support root cause analysis efforts and contribute to corrective actions for equipment failures
+ Escalate complex or system-level issues as needed
+ Advise operations personnel on proper equipment use and preventive maintenance practices
+ Document and communicate maintenance actions, irregularities, and ongoing issues within work teams
+ Support development and improvement of Standard Work and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities
Training & Team Support:
+ Provide day to day guidance, support, and on-the-job training to Level 3 and peer Level 4 technicians
+ Assist in onboarding and skill development of newer team members
+ Reinforce standard operating procedures, maintenance practices, and safety standards
+ Maintain flexibility to work all scheduled shift hours
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication:
+ Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and Maintenance teams to resolve equipment issues and improve performance
+ Communicate equipment status, issues, and completed work clearly and effectively
+ Support implementation of industry-standard, compliant processes and procedures
+ Coordinate with internal teams and support vendors or contractors as needed
Quality, Safety, & Compliance:
+ Maintain accurate records of completed work, including After Action Reviews (AARs) and CMMS documentation
+ Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, SOPs, and company quality policies
+ Follow 6S workplace organization standards and maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized work area
+ Adhere to all Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) requirements and maintenance safety procedures
+ Utilize required personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all safety protocols specific to maintenance activities

Education, Certifications, and Licenses:
Required :
+ High school diploma, GED, or 2 years of prior experience in functional area
Preferred :
+ Associate degree or higher in a technical discipline (e.g., Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, Electrical Technology)
+ Lean Manufacturing Certification or Yellow Belt
+ Journeyman Certification
+ PECNA-approved Technical Training
Essential Qualifications:
+ 3+ years of relevant maintenance or technical work experience
+ Working knowledge of mechanical and basic electrical systems, including electrical theory fundamentals
+ Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment with minimal supervision
+ Prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment
+ Successful completion of Ramsay mechanical or electrical aptitude assessment
+ Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
+ Basic mathematical skills and ability to perform standard calculations
+ Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify and resolve routine equipment issues
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
+ Ability to work rotating shifts and overtime as required
+ Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English

Preferred Qualifications:
+ 6+ years of relevant maintenance or technical work experience
+ Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) training and experience
+ Experience supporting Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) programs
+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills
+ Resilient, self-motivated, and able to perform effectively under pressure
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements:
+ To ensure health and safety in the workplace and for employee protection, wearing PPE is required and includes equipment such as a full Tyvek suit, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, and a full hazmat suit that includes a respirator. A respirator fit test will be required based on functional area.
