SummaryThe Mechanical Engineer I role is an entry level position performing routine engineering functions on assigned projects or sub-projects of a general nature and limited scope by applying standard mathematical, physical science, and/or engineering technologies.

Duties and Responsibilities
Assists in the design and/or project/process management projects, products, programs, components, tools and acceptance equipment under technical guidance Participates in establishing operating procedures on new products and components. 
Supports the development of testing procedures and performs routine to moderately complex engineering evaluations.   
Analyzes evaluation reports and discrepancies to make recommendations that improve productivity and quality to reduce flowtime. 
Interacts as a team with design agencies, suppliers and/or internal organizations under the guidance from experienced Mechanical Engineers to assist in product realization.

You Must Have
Ability to travel up to 10% of the time. 
Ability to work remote, hybrid, or on-site as directed by management and is determined by the needs of the business 
Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET accredited program in Engineering or Physics 
United States Citizenship 
Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job 
Ability to obtain and maintain, if required for position, a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance (some positions require additional DOE designations)

Demonstrates analytical skills, mathematical computations, computer software applications, and written documentation. 
Demonstrates established technical methodologies to routine engineering projects. 
Looks for opportunities to document improvements/innovations in approved processes.
