Job Description

The Electrician Technician supports commercial and multi-family construction and remodel projects throughout the Kansas City area by installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems and components. This role focuses on construction electrical wiring, conduit installation, and high-voltage work to ensure safe, reliable, and code-compliant electrical infrastructure.

Responsibilities

+ Install, repair, and maintain electrical wiring and systems for commercial and multi-family construction and remodel projects.

+ Read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics to plan and execute electrical installations accurately.

+ Install and bend conduit and route wiring to support new construction and remodeling work.

+ Perform high-voltage electrical work in a safe and compliant manner, following applicable codes and standards.

+ Troubleshoot electrical systems and components to diagnose issues and implement effective repairs.

+ Install electrical components such as panels, outlets, switches, lighting, and related hardware.

+ Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete electrical construction tasks.

+ Collaborate with construction teams and other trades on job sites to coordinate electrical work with overall project schedules.

+ Inspect electrical systems during and after installation to verify proper operation and adherence to safety and quality requirements.

+ Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area on job sites and follow all site safety protocols.

Essential Skills

+ Hands-on experience with construction electrical wiring and remodel projects.

+ Proficiency in installing and working with conduit in commercial and multi-family environments.

+ Strong knowledge of electrical systems and components, including high-voltage applications.

+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical drawings.

+ Demonstrated troubleshooting skills for identifying and resolving electrical issues.

+ Skilled in the safe use of hand tools and power tools for electrical installation and repair.

+ Mechanical aptitude to work with electrical and related construction systems.

+ Understanding of basic electrical safety practices and relevant codes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience on commercial construction sites and multi-family housing projects.

+ Background in both new construction and remodeling environments.

+ Ability to work effectively as part of a field construction team.

+ Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

+ Reliable work habits and willingness to travel within the Kansas City area for job assignments.

Work Environment

This role is primarily field-based on active construction and remodel sites throughout the Kansas City area. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Grain Valley, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 – $40.00/hr.
