Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Manage a sales territory by calling on established plumbing, heating & cooling, institutional and municipal customers on a regular basis.
- Cold call on potential new plumbing, heating & cooling, institutional and municipal customers.
- Develop relationships with customer personnel in an effort to expand customer trust and consultative selling.
- Develop a broad knowledge of plumbing, HVAC and waterworks material.
- Quote prices on stock and special order material as needed in concert with inside sales personnel.
- Enter orders, check product prices and availability via a computer tablet.
- Make deliveries to customers as needed.
- Attend sales meetings every other Thursdays from 5:30-6:30pm
- Coordinate with inside salespeople to negotiate customer pricing and follow up on quoted projects.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned.
Experience and Training:
Territory sales experience and knowledge of plumbing and heating material are helpful. Basic computer experience is required. Training will include time in a warehouse setting.
