Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for prepping, building and assembling unique cabinets, arched units and other custom work with safety, quality, and efficiency in mind.
  • Determine product specifications and machine setup requirements.
  • Monitor operations and make adjustments to correct problems and ensure conformance to specifications.
  • Examine finished work pieces for smoothness, shape, angle, depth-of-cut and conformity.
  • Inspect completed work pieces so that they can be moved to the next workstation.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Must demonstrate skill in general manufacturing procedures and equipment, including operation of hand tools, drills, saws, sanders, and other basic shop equipment.
  • Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.
  • Knowledge of materials, methods and the tools involved in the assembly of cabinets.
  • Knowledge of production processes, quality control and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
  • Knowledge of relevant equipment, procedures and strategies to promote effective, secure operations.
  • Ability to follow a schedule.
  • Ability to read and use a tape measure up to 1/32”.

Job Qualifications and Education

  • One year of carpentry or finish carpentry experience required.
  • One year of experience in a manufacturing environment required,
  • Demonstrated skills in organization, planning, prioritization and time management.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and complete on a timely basis.
