Job Description
(60) Packager: Temporary, Full Time. Min 40 hrs./week, Monday to Friday 2:00 am to 1 0:00 am variable, 2nd Shift. Work on Saturdays and Sundays and other hours may be required and assigned as needed. Workers will be paid no less than $17.11/hr. Overtime hours may be available as per company needs and will be paid at a minimum $25.67/hr for any hours worked over 40 hours in a work week (work week is Sunday-Saturday). Employer will use a single workweek as the standard for computing wages due. Wages will be paid on Thursdays (bi-weekly) by direct deposit or rapid! PayCard® Visa® Prepaid card. Employers will make all deductions from workers' paychecks as required by law. Employment period October 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027. The area of intended employment is 3167 SE 10th Street Topeka - Shawnee County, Kansas, 66607. Optional furnished housing, utilities and shuttle transportation from housing location provided on a limited first-come first-served basis at a cost of $125 per week ($250 bi-weekly) which will be deducted from bi-weekly paycheck.
Prepares and assembles product packaging and containers. Inspects and examines boxes, containers, materials, and products to ensure packaging meets company specifications, quality standards, as well as undamaged and correct for the product. Disposes of defective or damaged products or packaging in designated bins. Verifies product packaging dates and weights are accurate and within specifications. Seals packages and containers once filled with product. Maintains a clean, organized work area. Follows company safety guidelines and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). No experience required. No education required. On-the-job training will be provided if needed.
If the worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will reimburse the worker for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will pay for worker’s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where employer has appropriately reported a worker’s voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $16.78 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts. Workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (except passport fees).
Employer will provide workers at no charge with all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job. Employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period.
