Job Description

The assembler will assemble manufactured products and pack them according to specifications. Follows the Quality Management System designated work instructions and procedures to ensure a quality product is manufactured.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble machinery, fabricated metal products, electrical equipment, appliances, and more according to directions
  • Read blueprints, schematics, or similar documentation, and then build to those specifications
  • Use various machines and hand tools to accomplish assigned tasks
  • Maintain logs, records, and reports concerning production, machine maintenance, and product inconsistencies
  • Maintain equipment and conveyors, and perform basic repairs when needed
  • Inventory tools, parts, and supplies; contact materials handler if supplies are needed
  • Periodically check products per company policy to ensure quality and uniform completion; resolve any identified problems and alert supervisor
  • Make decisions regarding product acceptance per product documentation and company workmanship criteria
  • Confer with organizational team members at all levels to discuss issues, coordinate activities or resolve problems.
  • Work closely with shop floor supervision and other employees
  • Maintain applicable skills, knowledge, and certifications as required
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

 

Skills

  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment with multiple priorities and shifting time requirements
  • Understand and interpret design data (Drawings, Bills Of Material, etc.)
  • Ability to effectively communicate in small and large group environments
  • Detail-oriented and consistent
  • Ability to use a computer
