SummaryThe Finance Analyst II performs a variety of complex accounting and/or budget functions.
Duties and Responsibilities
Performs financial/accounting services primarily supporting one of the CFO functional areas (Disbursements, General Accounting, Budgets & Rates, or Financial Planning & Analysis).
Processes accounting documents or assembles forecast data from various sources in accordance with established accounting policies and procedures.
Prepares working papers required to record accounting and/or budget activities.
Accumulates and analyzes accounting charges or forecast data and develops budget forecasts.
Compiles data for periodic accounting and/or budget reports for distribution and determination of cost variances.
Analyzes data to identify recurring problems.
Analyzes and interprets accounting and/or budget data and presents conclusions to management.
Assists in the development of detailed procedures and work instructions in the accounting and/or budget area.
Effectively interfaces and builds strong relationships with internal and external customers.
Assists in training of personnel in various accounting and/or budget activities.
You Must Have
Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of two (2) years of Finance, Business, or related experience; OR in lieu of a degree a minimum of four (4) years Finance, Business or related experience.
Ability to travel as determined by the needs of the business
Ability to work remote, hybrid, or on-site as directed by management and is determined by the needs of the business.
Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job.
United States Citizenship
Ability to obtain and maintain, a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance (some positions require additional DOE designations)
We Value
Basic understanding of financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting
Rapidly developing sound understanding and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, PeopleSoft, and ERP Software.
Ability to effectively interface and build strong relationships with internal and external customers.
Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
