SummaryEntry Level position performing general software engineering work of varying complexity on assigned tasks autonomously with guidance and support available.
Duties and Responsibilities
Performs software design, coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting throughout the application development process.
Applies standard software engineering discipline, processes, and tools to complete various project subtasks.
Interacts with customers in all phases of software development lifecycle.
Analyzes existing information systems and applications to identify weaknesses and develop opportunities for improvements.
Develops software development skills in a collaborative/team environment.
Generates software documentation and performs requirements-based verification and validation testing of software to assure all requirements are met.
Develops application specifications, conversion, and migration designs; supports maintenance of applications, as needed.
You Must Have
Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other equivalent ABET accredited Engineering program.
No prior experience required.
Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
Ability to work remote, hybrid, or on-site as directed by management and is determined by the needs of the business.
Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job.
United States Citizenship
Ability to obtain and maintain, if required for position, a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance (some positions require additional DOE designations)

Previous relevant internship experience or equivalent preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge of general software engineering design, coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting techniques, across all phases of an application development lifecycle.
