DescriptionPosition Summary:
Responsible for preparing, tracking, and communicating quoting activities for new and existing customers. This role ensures accurate and timely quote entry into the company’s systems while collaborating with internal teams (engineering, production, purchasing, etc.). This role plays a key part in supporting company growth and delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
QualificationsEssential Job Functions:
- Prepare, review, and submit all required information regarding requests for quote based on drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
- Track quotation activities, follow up on outstanding quotes, and maintain detailed records in the ERP system.
- Ensure all customer requests for quotes (RFQs) are entered and processed in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with internal teams (sales, engineering, production, and procurement) to gather necessary information for accurate costing and pricing.
- Analyze and update quotes as needed due to changes in material costs, specifications, or scope.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in the quoting workflow.
- Work with appropriate parties to quickly resolve any internal or external issues regarding quotations.
- Provide backup support for front desk reception duties, including greeting visitors and managing incoming calls.
