Job Title: Quality Inspector
Job Description
The Quality Inspector performs receiving, in-process, and final inspections on components, sub-assemblies, and finished goods within a manufacturing environment. This role ensures that all products meet established quality standards and complies with ISO-9001 requirements through accurate inspection, documentation, and control of non-conforming materials.
Responsibilities
+ Perform receiving inspections on incoming materials before they are placed into stock to ensure they meet specified quality standards.
+ Conduct in-process inspections on components and sub-assemblies during manufacturing to verify compliance with drawings and specifications.
+ Carry out final inspections on finished goods prior to shipment to confirm they meet all quality and customer requirements.
+ Identify and control non-conforming products, ensuring they are clearly labeled, segregated, and contained to prevent inadvertent use or shipment.
+ Use a tape measure, calipers, micrometers, CMM equipment, and other inspection tools to perform accurate dimensional checks.
+ Perform visual inspections to detect defects, irregularities, and workmanship issues in welded, machined, and assembled parts.
+ Read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications to determine inspection criteria and tolerances.
+ Document inspection results accurately using the Continuous Improvement Program and other required quality documentation.
+ Support compliance with ISO-9001 standards by following established quality procedures and work instructions.
Essential Skills
+ Quality control experience within a manufacturing environment.
+ Hands-on experience using a tape measure for dimensional inspection.
+ Proficiency with inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, and other measurement devices.
+ Ability to perform visual inspections to identify defects and quality issues.
+ Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints.
+ Familiarity with quality assurance and quality control practices in manufacturing.
+ Ability to identify and control non-conforming products in accordance with quality procedures.
+ Capability to document inspection results accurately within a Continuous Improvement Program.
+ Understanding of and ability to comply with ISO-9001 standards.
+ Flexibility to work varying hours within the operating window of 5:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and some Saturdays as needed.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Welding experience preferred, particularly in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
+ Experience working in a shop that includes welding, machining, assembly, packing, and shipping operations.
+ Prior exposure to coordinate measuring machines (CMM) is beneficial.
+ Experience with continuous improvement initiatives and quality-related process improvements.
+ Comfort working in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing facility.

Work Environment
This role is based in a manufacturing shop that includes welding, machining, assembly, packing, and shipping operations. The facility is non-climate controlled, so temperatures will vary with the seasons. The standard shift is 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and you must be flexible to work additional hours within the operating window of 5:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on most days, as well as some Saturdays when needed. Personal protective equipment is required, including steel-toe footwear, safety glasses, and appropriate work attire such as jeans, in accordance with shop safety standards.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 – $23.00/hr.
