Responsibilities

Plant Engineer responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Determining the long-range mechanical plans for the plant
Providing management support for the Maintenance Supervisors
Facilitating planning functions by managing the MLS Planner
Managing and monitoring plant maintenance expenditures
Providing continuous review and evaluation of PMs and SOPs
Determining the appropriateness of all new work orders
Managing the capital projects
Providing for an atmosphere of continuous process improvement
Providing management with necessary performance information
Assuming the responsibilities of the supervisor in his/her absence
Other duties as assigned
This is a safety sensitive position. This is an on-site position.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates for the Plant Engineer position should possess the following:
Minimum five years management experience in food industry maintenance. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related degree with advanced work in electrical and hydraulics preferred
Excellent administrative and follow up skills to achieve successful maintenance and repair programs
Must have refrigeration system knowledge
Must be computer literate; experienced in using computer software applications such as CAD and Microsoft Office applications
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong time management and project scheduling skills
Qualified candidates for this position will be required to successfully complete the background check.
Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
