Position SummaryThe Student Transportation Attendant provides supervision, support, and assistance to students during transportation to and from the Kansas School for the Deaf (KSD). The attendant helps ensure student safety, monitors behavior, and assists students as needed throughout the transportation process.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Accompany students during transportation to and from KSD.
- Monitor student behavior and ensure compliance with transportation expectations.
- Assist students with boarding, exiting, and riding safely in district vehicles.
- Support students with communication, behavioral, or other individual needs as directed.
- Maintain a safe and positive transportation environment.
- Communicate concerns, incidents, or student needs to district staff and families as appropriate.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding student information.
- Participate in required trainings and meetings.
