Position Summary:

Responsible for creating, modifying, and optimizing CNC programs to produce precision-machined parts according to engineering drawings and specifications.

Essential Job Functions:

• Develop, write, and edit CNC programs for mills, lathes, and multi-axis machines.
• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and models to determine machining requirements.
• Select appropriate tooling, speeds, and feeds to optimize performance and efficiency.
• Create set-up sheets based on established criteria.
• Troubleshoot and resolve machining and programming issues.
• Maintain program documentation and revision control.
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve machining or quality issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned or requested.

• Knowledge of tooling, cutting conditions, and machining best practices.
• 2 years of experience directly related to CNC programming.
• Working knowledge of Catia V5, and/or Mastercam software.
• Advanced knowledge of reading drawings and specifications with an understanding of geometric tolerances and dimensions.
• Strong time management skills and a commitment to meeting deadlines. 
• Ability to work under pressure, handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• Ability to demonstrate flexibility, initiative, and good judgement in dealing with incoming projects as well as adapting to changing product parameters and customer requirements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
