Starting salary for this position: $40,248.00 ($19.35/Hourly)
Offered salary will be determined by experience, qualifications, and skill set that the candidate brings to the position. Though this position is unclassified, the posted starting salary is equivalent to classified Pay Grade 25, step 6. Please contact Recruitment Coordinator for further details.

Position Summary & ResponsibilitiesPosition Summary:
This position supports evidence-based programming and risk reduction services statewide by delivering training in all CBI curricula, including end-user, Training of Trainers, advanced practice, and Core Correctional Practices, as well as how to run effective groups, and specialty training for specialists; by coaching, modeling, observing and giving feedback; and by serving as a fidelity specialist throughout the system.
Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:This position supports evidence-based programming and risk reduction services statewide by performing the following tasks as directed by
the supervisor:
Deliver end-user and TOT training in all CBI curricula including Advanced Practice; provide booster and refresher courses, modeling, and
giving feedback as needed to Program Providers. This includes being or becoming trained as a facilitator, trainer, and trainer of trainers in all
CBI curricula used now or in the future by KDOC. Develop and deliver training in the use of Core Correctional Practices during
groups, provide boosters, refreshers, and use modeling, coaching and feedback in the use of those tools and skills as directed and needed.
Develop, update, enhance, and deliver training to Program Providers on how to run an effective group, addressing all aspects of building
and facilitating high quality groups. Serve as Fidelity Coach and Technical Assistance Provider to all facilities, performing on-site fidelity visits and coaching. Observe groups for fidelity and quality, provide meaningful reporting and measurements on fidelity performance, give feedback on groups, and develop coaching plans to improve Provider skills where necessary.
When appropriate, especially with new Providers or when new CBI curricula are introduced, co-facilitate groups.
Develop, update, enhance and deliver training to Program Providers, Program Leads, Program Managers, R3 Coordinators, Case
Management & Reentry Administrators, and any others facilitating or supervising facilitators of programs in fidelity strategies: peer support fidelity; ways to
enhance fidelity locally; ways to spot-check, assess, refresh, and otherwise make fidelity a mainstay in all CBI programming.
This includes local activities, refreshers, boosters; regional activities of the same nature; statewide
activities of the same nature; convenings, refresher trainings, tips, activities, communications, and any other strategies that build capacity
individually, locally by site, regionally and statewide for fidelity to be an integral part of the daily running of program groups and the
language of staff facilitating or supervising programming.
Assist in developing, enhancing, training, implementing, and supporting Peer Facilitator programs at all facilities, including working with facility staff to identify, train, and support Peer Facilitators; establish procedures, train, and support facility staff in implementing and maintaining successful Peer Facilitator programs. Serve as Fidelity Coach for Peer Facilitator programs, including observing, modeling, providing feedback, collecting data as assigned by supervisor, and providing reporting as directed.
Develop, update, enhance and deliver training for Reentry specialists focused on principles that underpin risk reduction work and that is tailored to
the tasks of the specialists, including release planners, discharge planners, housing and job specialists, and any other as directed by the
supervisor and in close coordination with the Staff Development and Reentry teams.
Other duties as assigned.
QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:
Six months of experience in planning, implementing and monitoring activities relevant to the agencys programs. Education may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by the agency.
Substitution: Bachelor’s degree in social work or other social science or counseling field.
Preferred Qualifications:Two years experience in offender CBI group work.
Two years experience in training, coaching and giving feedback.
Demonstrated knowledge of evidence-based programming in corrections.
Demonstrated knowledge of core correctional practices.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Post-Offer, Pre-employment Requirements: Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license. Must pass a criminal history records check.
